A fluorescent new record from old pal Cybergiga (Sam Lyons), whose first record was released on Palms Out way back when. This is his second EP since emerging again last year after several years of bubbling quietly, sharpening his tools. His distinct style remains intact, though it’s been well distilled and refined over the years. This whole record is excellent, but the title track is particularly compelling — equally ebuillient, seraphic, and propulsive. (There’s also a lovely remix on the EP by Will Hofbauer, whose recent album with Sangre Voss is one of my favorites of the year.)
