Can’t say I like it as much as my own version of the track, but who doesn’t love a new Mehdi remix? Last but not least, the homey Bitchee from Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya put us in contact with Tahiti Boy, from a band you’ll be hearing a lot more about in the coming months, Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family. We’re hooking you up with a lovely track of theirs from their 7″ release on Arcade Mode. Here’s what Tahiti Boy had to say.
It’s a song I wrote, performed by my band Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree family (I’m Tahiti Boy…). It was mixed by the great Vicarious Bliss (ed banger rec.) and released on a 7′ by Arcade Mode (Institubes, Ed Banger, etc.).
We’re based in Paris, but we have played a lot in and around France and are good friends with a lot of people, like TV on the Radio (Tunde Adebimpe is actually going to be on the record), Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya (we met them in a studio), Justice, etc. Antoine aka Poney Poney is also our guitar player and one of the singers of the group.
